THE CARIBBEAN WEATHER CENTER RESUMES SERVICE TO THE CRUISING COMMUNITY

More than 10 years ago, the late David Jones, aka The Caribbean Weatherman,  started the Caribbean Weather Center to provide customized weather information to vessels in the Caribbean.  The business has grown over the years, and now provides weather information to a variety of marine and land-based constituencies, with Chris Parker as Weather Forecaster and Mary Finley-Jones (David's widow and business partner)as Managing Director.

Chris studied Meteorology in college and has been forecasting weather and having fun around boats since he was 10 years old.  For the past 5 years he's been cruising full-time (now on "Bel Ami", a 1966 Morgan 34' sloop) and forecasting weather in the Bahamas and US East Coast.  Chris uses his expertise in SSB radio and e-mail, satellite phone technology and marine electronics and computers to forecast the weather each day while he's out there cruising.  Chris is currently forecasting from "Bel Ami" in the Florida/Bahamas region, and will arrive in the Caribbean this spring.
